 Tune in at 9am this Saturday, July 20th as DJ Mackie explores some lost gems of Greek guitar rock and hosts guitarist/songwriter Parthenon Huxley in studio. Huxley grew up in Athens but returned to the US to attend University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he played in bands such as The Blazers and recorded with folks like Mitch Easter and Don Dixon. In addition to his solo work, he performs and tours with ELO Part 2, with members from Electric Light Orchestra.
Locally at 94.3 FM WOWD and streaming at takomaradio.org  As a tribute to Trump's SALUTE TO AMERICA, DJ Mackie will unearth some of the strangest and most obscure obfuscating tunes about America for this week's LOST TREASURES. Musical gems include forgotten tunes by North Carolina's BOW STREET RUNNERS, BIFF ROSE, and the incomparable Eugene McDaniels.
