On Sat. 9/30 at 9am, Lost Treasures features a conversation with Al Martin, a.k.a. Nudge Squidfish, a musical legend and DIY songwriter from Columbus, Ohio. On various instruments over the last 45 years, Nudge has collaborated with many of the greats from the Ohio lofi music scene, including Jim Shepard, Mike Rep, Tommy Jay and other luminaries. In preparation for the upcoming exhibit at American University in February, DJ Mackie has special guest Topper Carew -- the founder of the influential arts space The New Thing --to talk about its revolutionary approach to community building in DC, 1966 to 1972.
