a new thing...

As I reach my mid-40s and I reflect on all of the great things in my life, I think back to some of the earlier pursuits and interests that I followed with great avidity.   It has been a long time for some, but now I am anticipating ways to get back into some of my former hobbies and loves:   presenting concerts, hosting a radio program (this time on the Takoma Park community station WOWD-FM), consulting/conducting professional development programs for teachers, and assisting my colleagues and friends in grant writing.   These have long been a part of my life but the demands of serving as Principal for the past five years and having a family with two growing boys have kept me busy and focused on other things
